Multi-Channel Architecture
1. Web Widget
The Web Widget is the fastest way to deploy Flowk on your website. Add a single script tag to your HTML and your agent is live. The widget is fully customizable in the dashboard — change colors, position, and branding to match your site.
<script>
window.Flowk({
agentId: "ag_xxxxxxxxxxxx",
position: "bottom-right",
primaryColor: "#2563eb",
title: "Hi! How can we help?",
});
</script>
<script src="https://flowk.kemonai.com/widget.js" defer></script>For a detailed API reference covering session initialization, chat, SSE events, and more, visit the Web Widget API Reference.
2. WhatsApp Business API
To connect WhatsApp as a channel:
- Meta Business Account — Ensure you have a Meta Business Account with WhatsApp Business API access.
- Phone Number — Register a phone number for your WhatsApp Business profile. This cannot be a personal WhatsApp number.
- Configure in Flowk — Navigate to Channels > WhatsApp in the dashboard. Flowk made it easy to connect your WhatsApp Business account through Meta's Embedded Sign-up wizard.
- Agent Connection — After successfully setting up your WhatsApp Business account, next is to connect an agent to it, which is the final step.
- Verify & Publish — Test the connection and publish your channel. Customers can now message your WhatsApp number and your Flowk agent will respond.
WhatsApp Template Messages (Not supported yet)
WhatsApp requires businesses to use pre-approved message templates for proactive messages (e.g., order confirmations, shipping updates). You can manage your message templates in Meta Business Manager and reference them in your Flowk guidelines when sending proactive WhatsApp messages.
3. Developer API
For custom integrations, the Developer API provides full programmatic access to Flowk's features. Use it to build custom chat UIs, integrate with your existing CRM, or connect to proprietary messaging systems.
Key Developer API capabilities:
- Session Management — Create, retrieve, and close conversation sessions.
- Messaging — Send and receive messages programmatically.
- SSE Event Stream — Subscribe to real-time conversation events via Server-Sent Events.
See the API Reference for full documentation of all available endpoints.
4. Managing Channels
All connected channels are managed from the Channels page in the dashboard. From here you can:
- View the status of each channel (active, disconnected, error).
- Enable or disable channels without losing configuration.
- Update channel-specific settings (e.g., widget styling, WhatsApp templates).
- View channel metrics (messages sent, conversations handled, response times).
